WELCOME!

Let me begin my first note by extending a personal WELCOME to our new Westlake Industries web site. We have updated our site to make it easier and quicker to navigate and to provide important information about our company and our industry. I hope that you will find our new site useful and informative.

I think business web sites should cater to business people and potential customers seeking information about a company and their industry. As all of our schedules are busy and time is at a premium, our creative strategy was to build a web site that has pertinent company and industry information and delivers that information as clearly and succinctly as possible. Got a question, looking for information, need a phone number or e mail address, here's where and how you'll find what you are looking for. Simply and effective!

So once again welcome and now let me briefly talk about the purpose of this page.

We work in a very dynamic industry, in very interesting times! The business circumstances and playing fields are constantly changing and I want to use this space to express my views and news on what is occurring in our industry today and where things might be headed in the future. There is a lot to talk about, discuss and perhaps no doubt even disagree on. Changes in the economy, in the political arena, in our industry and even within our own company impact all of us in different ways. And, I believe we need to examine all of these topics not only from a Canadian perspective but from a North American and Global perspective.

However, this is not meant as a one-way conversation! I want you to be able to respond with your own views about whatever happens to be on the "table" or whatever strikes a chord with you.
