Our Work
Goreway Power Station

The Goreway Power Station is a natural gas fired combined-cycle electricity generating facility with a contract capacity of 860 MW and is located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Combined-cycled technology uses natural gas to turn combustion turbines to generate electricity and then uses the hot gas leaving the combustion turbines to heat water to produce steam to power a steam turbine and generate more power.
Westlake Industries
Westlake was selected for the project and provided the majority of the prefabricated piping and pipe supports to the Power Station, supplying directly to SNC Thermal, the Project Engineers and many of the sub-suppliers including Siemens Power, Aker Kvaerner and Black and MacDonald.
The scope of Westlake's involvement included providing such integral components as the underground piping, carbon and stainless steel process piping, turbine piping in P22, P91 chrome alloys, Tp 304, Tp 316, and Tp 321 stainless steels. Westlake also supplied the pipe supports and structural sub-steel supports for both the Simple and Combined Cycle units.
